This election will result in 6 of the 8 School Committee seats being filled by brand new School Committee Members. 4 of the 8 seats are being contested. Whomever is elected will play an important role in helping determine the future of the Newton Public Schools. They will be negotiating the next Teacher's contract and the Mayor's NPS budget as well as being tasked with helping implement Dr. Nolin's vision for the future of our schools.
