| March Is Here 🌷 It’s hard to believe we’re already turning the calendar to March. After a stretch of snow days, delayed openings, icy sidewalks, and all the juggling that comes with winter in New England, we’re hopeful that the worst of it is behind us. Here’s to more consistent school days, clearer roads, and a steady rhythm for our kids (and for us!). March always feels like a reset — a little more daylight, a little more energy, and a lot to look forward to in the weeks ahead. As we head toward spring, there’s plenty happening in our school community, and we’re excited to keep the momentum going. Save the Date: Williams Multicultural Night – April 9! Mark your calendars! Williams Multicultural Night will take place on Wednesday, April 9. This special evening is a chance for our community to come together and celebrate the many cultures, traditions, foods, music, and stories that make our school so vibrant and unique. It’s always one of the most meaningful and joyful nights of the year. More details (sign-up link below) will be shared soon — but for now, be sure to save the date. Annual Dues Every year the Williams PTO spends approximately $250 per student on the various programs the PTO sponsors in and out of school. In order to achieve all our goals for our school and our children we must raise upwards of $40,000 each year. While every Williams parent/guardian is automatically a member of the Williams PTO, we ask that each Williams family pay annual dues in order to keep these programs alive and raise the bar in our community and social gatherings. Our goal this year is 100% family participation. While our suggested payment is $250 per child, please contribute what you can. The PTO will use dues to fund many of our core activities throughout the year! | Something for Tired Parents 😉 Down Under Yoga is opening a studio in Wellesley, featuring fitness classes, wellness programming, and recovery options—an exciting new addition to the local community. See below for more information:
 Down Under Yoga Wellesley is designed as a full wellness destination—bringing yoga, Pilates Reformer, and recovery together under one roof. The studio features two spacious yoga rooms (70 + 50 students), a dedicated reformer studio with 9 reformers, and an exclusive recovery suite with a Finnish sauna, red light therapy, and cold showers.
Our Founding Membership is $199/month (valued at $240 once fully launched) and includes unlimited classes at all Down Under locations, 4 reformer classes per month, and full access to the recovery space. Only a limited number of memberships remain at this rate, and we expect them to sell out by the end of the week.

Food Rescue at Williams: Reducing Waste, Helping Neighbors Williams is participating in a districtwide food rescue effort aimed at reducing food waste while getting nutritious food into the hands of those in need in our community. During lunch, students may place any unopened, uneaten, nonperishable items from their school-provided lunch (items from home lunches are not eligible) into a designated collection area in the cafeteria.Â
Each week, these items are picked up by a student leader at Newton South High School, who packages and distributes them across the district.
The Williams Green Team is currently seeking a parent/caregiver volunteer to help with weekly pickup and delivery. The role involves collecting the donated items from Williams Elementary School—ideally on Wednesdays before 3:00 p.m.—and delivering them to Newton South (approximately a 10-minute drive).
