Smile—It’s Picture Week! Somehow we are already halfway through September, because apparently the school year plans to move just as quickly as summer did. This week brings Picture Day, Safety Day, a few important deadlines and the Back-to-School Social. Keep reading for everything you need to know—and perhaps locate the picture-day outfit before Tuesday morning. Or don’t. There is always retake day. | Pay Your Dues Thank you to the 19 Williams families who have contributed PTO dues so far! Together, they have raised $5,050 to support enrichment programs, classroom resources, field trips, community events, staff appreciation and more. That is a wonderful start—but it represents just 12% of our 154 families, so we still have plenty of room on that progress bar. Annual dues are $200 per child, but every contribution makes a difference. Multiple-payment options are also available. You can pay your dues on the app or by mailing a check to: Williams PTO

| Help the Williams Green Team Williams’ food-rescue program is back! Last year, the program rescued more than 1,000 pounds of unopened food from the cafeteria and delivered it to the Newton Community Freedge. During the first week of this school year alone, another 33.4 pounds was rescued. The Green Team is looking for parent and caregiver volunteers to transport food from Williams to the Community Freedge at 420 Watertown Street. The drive generally takes 10–15 minutes, depending on traffic. The team can also use brown paper grocery bags with handles. Donations may be left in the Williams main office. Confidential Family Resources Williams families may confidentially request: - A scholarship covering the basic Picture Day package
- Backpacks, water bottles and lunch boxes
- Weekly Fuel Bags containing shelf-stable groceries
